Muse launches on the iPad
After launching nearly a month ago and spending several weeks as the top free app in Apple’s App Store, the latest update to Meta’s Muse iOS app introduces native support for the iPad. A Mac version of Meta’s agentic AI tool (designed to compete with OpenClaw, ChatGPT’s Dots, and Grok Bot) was released about a week after the original mobile version debuted expanding its usefulness to desktop tasks like organizing files. The new iPad version should function similar to Muse on iPhones, but better take advantage of the extra screen real estate and iPadOS’ better multitasking capabilities. The newly added iPad support is limited to just a one line mention at the bottom of the release notes for the latest version of Muse alongside several other updates for the iPhone version too. These include the ability to connect Muse to additional software tools like Canva, Dropbox, Figma, QuickBooks, GitHub, Zoom, Asana, and Klaviyo, and new connectors for apps like Granola and Notion. The new updates target small business owners with the option to give Muse a business goal which the agent will use to autonomously plan marketing, client pitches, and developing “new product pages.” While it took Meta 15 years to release a dedicated version of Instagram for the iPad, the faster turnaround for Muse properly supporting Apple’s tablets is a clear indicator of the company’s strong support for its AI initiatives. Meta also recently announced a standalone Tamagotchi-like device called the Muse Charm that will run the AI agent without the need for a smartphone, and it’s working to bring Muse to its smart glasses.
