Aldi is relaunching its popular stand mixer this weekend just in time for Bake Off - and it’s cheaper and bigger than the latest KitchenAid model

Aldi is bringing back its popular cheap stand mixer this weekend - a budget-friendly KitchenAid alternative. Replenishing its Specialbuys range, Aldi is bringing back an old friend: the Β£35 appliance returns to in-store shelves on September 13 after its last appearance six months ago, just in time for the long-awaited return of Bake Off. It comes in soft baby green and vibrant red.

Features

  • Four dishwasher-safe attachments: beater, whisk, dough hook, and splash guard
  • Swivel motor head for easier attachment swapping and bowl access
  • 5-liter mixing bowl (compared to KitchenAid Artisan Plus' 4.7-liter bowl)
  • Eight speed settings plus pulse function
  • 420W motor

Value

For its cheap price, Aldi's stand mixer packs all the basics you need for home baking. It doesn't boast the advanced features that set KitchenAid mixers hundreds of pounds higher and uses more power (420W), but aside from this, Aldi's version is certainly enough to get you by if you're not worried about missing out on the finer details. Once its stand mixer has been cleared from the shelves, your chances at scoring one will be slim. Aldi is also stacked with affordable versions of premium appliances - it hasn't long launched a cheap Dyson-style stick vacuum and Β£20 air fryer.
