Military Tracking via Polarsteps App

Dutch military personnel can be accurately tracked from barracks to home via the Polarsteps travel app. Follow the Money (FTM) discovered that military members could be identified and their homes, workplaces, and military base movements determined through leaked app data. Even military members not using their real names could be identified via leaked information. Friday FTM reported that hundreds of thousands of users, including dozens of military personnel, could be followed in real time via the back of Polarsteps. Many military members' addresses could be easily obtained, along with when and where they worked. Their movements could be tracked to military bases and missions abroad, and then back home.
