I'm getting sick of candidates who just AI the whole interview. Most ghost us when we try to schedule the in-person or try to ask HR if they can do it virtually. No, absolutely not.
Yesterday, I've started asking one candidate insane, esoteric deep dive Linux questions. A girl with 4 years of experience should not know where cgroups are mounted AND the garbage collection changed made between Java 8 ~ 9 AND the names of those garbage collections AND all of the random other questions no one on the interview panel even knows! (We're not even a Java shop!) all off the top of her head.
I stopped her and said, "Are you using an LLM right now?" She then denied it! In our private chat, one of the other interviewers said, "Is she just reading straight off her screen?"
Later I was in a meeting with a director and the other manager. I started talking about the interview. She said, "You almost made her cry."
"What? No I didn't."
"Yes you did! Did you not see her face and how she was about to break down?"
"... ... no" ๐
Our direct said, "Please don't make the candidates cry."

"I didn’t make her cry! My AI did!"
It's insane. But yeah, they are not even able to know what is normal to know and whatnot.
But what a terrible sad situation.
You need to create a web platform that they need to answer questions. If it notices losing focus frequently or type speed or pasting and whatnot, it's actually quite easy to recognize fraud, I guess. Bit harder if they use a second system or whatever, but it's a start.
Could be a commercial product. A stealth cheat-preventing interview system that allows white labeling, giving companies a very professional platform.
Haha, I'm going to get sloppy. Ggggg
