OpenClaw is now available on iOS and Android, but tread carefully
Mobile Launch
OpenClaw has announced that its AI personal assistant is now available for smartphones.
OpenClaw, the AI agent formerly known as Moltbot, formerly known as Clawdbot, is coming to a smartphone near you. On Tuesday, the company announced in a post on X that its AI agents are now available on iOS and Android.
"Native mobile apps, finally," reads the post. "Agents in your pocket. Channels, tasks, replies on the go."

What OpenClaw Does
OpenClaw is essentially an AI personal assistant. Created by developer Peter Steinberger (who later joined OpenAI), it runs locally on your device and completes tasks - like checking emails and flagging high priority ones - on your behalf.
The tool went viral earlier this year due to stories about Moltbook, a supposed social media platform for AI agents.
Security Concerns
Unsurprisingly, though, there were risks to letting an AI personal assistant loose on your device, and a couple of months back a critical security flaw in OpenClaw was discovered.
All of which is to say, you may want to do your research before you rush to install OpenClaw on your smartphone.
