I Built An AI That Roasts Me. It Hurt.

I built Roaster0 to roast anything. Then I fed it myself.

Meet Roaster0 - my "Automated Code Review ยท Bureau of Unsolicited Opinions". You can read that dev post from HERE.

The idea was simple: Paste a website, image, bio, text, or literally any object. Get back 5 brutal roast points + 1 genuine compliment. Built for laughs. Not for therapy.

So naturally... I roasted myself first.

I uploaded my photo and 24 chars of bio that said "None". Here's what Roaster0 said:

๐Ÿ”ฅ MY PASSION ROAST (BRUTAL INTENSITY):

  • "Your bio is 'None', which coincidentally describes the traffic your Netlify portfolio gets."
  • "Staring at the ground like you just realized Netlify's free tier has a bandwidth limit."
  • "You look like you're posing for the cover of an indie album that will never be released."
  • "Hosting your portfolio on a default netlify.app subdomain is the ultimate 'it works on my machine' energy."
  • "Double white shirts just to match the blank template look of your portfolio website."

๐Ÿ’š THE TOAST:

"On a serious note, you have a really clean aesthetic, and building and hosting your own portfolio is a great milestone."

Roast anything at roaster0.netlify.app

Okay... I'll take it.

What I learned building Roaster0

LLMs are savage if you prompt them right
The "Bureau of Unsolicited Opinions" framing makes GPT / Gemini go full Gordon Ramsay.

Design matters more than the AI
People share the roast because the retro-tactile UI + red "BRUTAL SEVERITY" stamp looks good in screenshots.

Self-roasting is the best marketing
Nothing gets clicks like "AI roasted the creator."

Try it yourself

Roast a website, your resume, your ex's bio, a Samsung fridge. Anything.

๐Ÿ‘‰ roaster0.netlify.app

Made by me - Nandan Das. Yes it's on free Netlify. No I don't have a custom domain yet. Yes I'm aware.

What should I roast next? Drop a link, photo, or bio in the comments and I'll run it through Roaster0 ๐Ÿ‘‡
