Call of Duty: Warzone is dropping PS4 and Xbox One support later this year

Activision is planning to drop support for PS4 and Xbox One consoles in Call of Duty: Warzone later this year. The timing couldn’t be worse for Warzone players still holding on to older consoles, as both Microsoft and Sony have increased the prices of their consoles over the past year. Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X are $150 more than their original $499 launch prices. Activision announced the changes to Warzone support on the same day it announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 for current generation consoles. Modern Warfare 4 will be available on the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X consoles, as well as Nintendo’s Switch 2. It’s the first Call of Duty title to launch on the Switch 2 following a 10-year deal Microsoft reached with Nintendo as part of its Activision Blizzard acquisition.
