What is going on?
The AI Flood
Playing the game of writing technical posts was funny two years ago. Now, I am a mod and it is incredible the amount of posts generated by AI that I have to review.
Personally, I enjoy reading posts written by humans because it is fun to discover their tone and style, it is fun to read the titles, it is fun to read their experience without having to deal with "it is not A, it is B".
JUST STOP.
If you do not have anything to share, do not share ANYTHING. We do not need quantity, we need quality.
What I Want
I want messy posts. I want to know that behind the screen there is a human investing their time typing as in the old days.
It does not matter if English is not your first language, just write, just read, just share and be wrong. By making mistakes, you learn.
The Accessibility Crisis
Finally, I want to share my concerns about the accessibility web community because it worries me how pages like:
- dev.to
- Smashing Magazine
- etc, etc
have become a sea of AI-generated "accessible" libraries or software to detect automated issues.
What is going on? The situation is insufferable. Where the humans that generate accessibility content gather today? I do not want to engage with bots anymore.
