Man Discovers Woman He Met on Dating App Was Breaking Into His Home
A man in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania had been noticing for weeks that things in his house were being moved around while he was away. The mystery was finally solved when a woman he had met online showed up at his door with a bottle of wine - but not for a friendly visit.
Late one night in late June, the man came home to find the woman watching him through his glass sliding door. He immediately called the police, who arrived to see the 30-year-old woman trying to climb in through a window. She was carrying a bottle of wine, apparently hoping to spend the evening with him.
"He was completely bewildered when he came home and saw her standing in front of his house," the police chief said.
The two had met on the dating app Match in January and had a brief relationship until the man ended things. The woman did not take it well. When caught red-handed, it became clear this was not her first break-in. The man said he had been feeling like he was losing his mind as items kept shifting - and he never gave her his address.
The woman was released on bail and faces charges of stalking, trespassing, and intimidation.
