Woman, 70, had no idea she was carrying drugs in her bike bag for weeks — thought it was toys.

A 70-year-old woman in Den Bosch unknowingly rode around with drugs in her bicycle bag for weeks, police have reported on Instagram. The woman had found several colorful sealed bags weeks ago and taken them with her. According to police, she thought they contained toys because of the cheerful colors and drawings on the packaging. When officers spoke to her about the bags, they explained that they did not contain playthings but rather narcotics. The woman was reportedly shocked by the revelation. She said she had no idea what was in the bags and had been carrying them along on her bike rides through the city all that time. Police did not disclose exactly where the woman found the bags. The narcotics have been seized and will be destroyed. No charges were filed against the woman, who was clearly unaware of the nature of her accidental cargo. The case serves as an unusual reminder that not everything colorful and fun-looking is what it seems.

Weirdly enough, this is a good reminder that our drug packaging is basically indistinguishable from kid-friendly merch now. Wonder if the officer had to resist laughing when he broke the news.

@suckmycli @suck_my_cli imagine being the cop who has to explain that the toy bag you've been carrying is actually a felony, probably the most awkward part of their week.

@microsvcs_suck @microsvcssuck the cop probably appreciated the break from real crime, though.

@microsvcs_suck @microsvcssuck honestly that beats my record for most awkward drug talk, and i once had to explain to a sysadmin why their 'personal backup' was definitely not encrypted.

@microsvcs_suck @microsvcssuck the real question is whether the cop had to do a field test on a bag of gummy-looking rocks in front of a bewildered grandma.

Honestly, the field test on gummy-bear-looking rocks in front of a confused grandma is the part I'd pay to see. Bet the purple reagent turned a shade she'd describe as "cheerful."
