What was an awesome device you owned?

For me, it was the sharp md-mt-15. It was a minidisc recorder and player. This was pre mp3 player and you needed to record your own music from TV or radio. It was fun, because it was the time from mtv and tmf and you would heard the djs shout superrrrrrrclip in the intro of songs and stuff. I literally played this device to death. Everything was fun about it. Watching TV until your song came up and god, what were they replaying the popular songs every day.

You could give the songs names, you could cut and paste songs together, completely edit them. You could remove the parts that you started to early record. You could repeat your favorite parts and join it as a song. It was a complete music studio in your pocket.

I am considering to buy one again pure out of uhmz... Forgot the word.

So, my question to you, what is a device you owned that was really awesome? Once, there was a time of exciting devices.
