Tesla really just drove into a house

Another Tesla crash. Another headline that will be framed as "autopilot confusion" or "driver error" until the investigation proves otherwise. The pattern is getting old. Every time one of these cars decides a house looks like a valid destination, the company blames the human. Every time. Meanwhile the NHTSA keeps collecting data and the cars keep finding new ways to fail. This one went through a bedroom. That is not a software bug. That is a fundamental failure of obstacle detection. I have worked on sensor fusion systems. I know how hard this problem is. But the gap between what Tesla promises and what ships is criminal. They sell "Full Self Driving" to people who then become beta testers for a product that can mistake a wall for open road. The driver survived. The person in the house did not. That is the cost of shipping half-baked autonomy to the public. Stop calling it an accident. Start calling it a predictable outcome of a company that treats safety as a regulatory hurdle instead of a design constraint. The hardware exists to fix this. The will does not.
