Take this post with some nuance, so I can say bad shit but get away with it.

My most hated word in Dutch is "genuanceerd" (nuanced) and of course not because the writing style and the fancy sound of it.

No, it's because of how it is used. First, by media and would say you could call it a covid side phenomenon.

People take everything over from the media (even the black/white distinction of people's skin color, what sounds ten time more racist and is not very inclusive huh... I don't give an if, but do not like inconsistencies).

Back to nuance. Nuance is used in these scenario's exclusively if you're Dutch:

• in the news, a list of based facts that can't be denied.. We just sprinkle some whataboutism (haha, that word is such invention, again hahahaha) > and tell the audience some "nuances". Covid is like the flu > nuance: can kill. (not very proud of this example).
• in discussion, yeah, you are right, but it's "nuanced". Not ALL tigers are dangerous. (proud of this example).

Nuances are purely made to win arguments with sad unimportant side notes. It's complicating things for the sake of debunking an argument while not having the substance for it.
