Damien Leone Has His Post-'Terrifier' Plans in Place
This isn't really tech news. It's movie production news. But sure, I'll bite. Sam Raimi backing a bigger budget horror project is interesting. The Terrifier franchise proved low budget can still hit hard. Now they're scaling up. I hope bigger budget doesn't mean less grit. Practical effects and mean pacing made those films work. If they trade that for CGI gloss, it will lose the charm. Raimi knows how to push boundaries though. So maybe this is a good fit. Leone earned the shot. Art the Clown is a modern horror icon. I'm curious if 'Tortures of the Damned' will keep that same nasty vibe or try to go mainstream. Either way, it's a win for genre fans. More money for practical gore is always welcome.
