A moral dilemma. What do you think?

I reacted to a video having the title "I was a tech worker for 20 years. And then AI happened"

I came off a lot mean than usual, but I did it on purpose. I am absolutely tired of this "give up" and "sympathy" culture that we have going on.

At what point do we draw the line of accountability? 20 fucking years in the industry and you're struggling to make ends meet? seriously?

I can sympathize but there's only so much of a limit.

The dilemma is me not able to decide whether I did the right thing or not.

money supremacy... and I'm over here being ditched by indian recruiters that can't spell and incoherently setup meetings and cancel them even though they asked me to agree to a meeting first and I didn't reply yet and why are they telling me "do not fail" and then failing their own meeting

is it a moral dilemma? isn't everything just a social cost dilemma?

What’s the dilemma? Choosing between being an asshole or being dishonest?

It's pathetic. My skills became more important than ever thanks to AI. If you're 20 years a dev but you can't see what the value of AI is in good hands... Omg.

But people being afraid when they see a Windows GUI being generated and so on. Yeah, very impressive, but what is the use case? Also, when doing professional development stuff must be right, not kind of right-making working with AI already a bit harder.

And BTW, what a soccer. A few devs have to go and he one of them. Who's fault is that? Not AI.

As stated on my website "Look to the guy next to you, he got to go..". Maw, start getting experience before he does it.

I actually think that AI makes people smarter. It showed me how stupid people actually are. So, now we all can produce whatever we want like a freaking company, all eyes are on a mediocre Photoshop clone. Dude, that part part is 90% of the work. Is that fucker even a de? You can't make smth half baked and say you've done it. That guy said that it's over for software. Oh yeah? Well? Where is my Photoshop clone then? I see nothing.

There are two kinds of people in the world. The people that think they can do it and the people that know they can do it. Because they actually did it.
