It is obvious today, the article of @djsumdog was amazing as always. I still have to work on my idea I did some unexpected server maintenance. What if I told you that it will be done with AI party? Famous last words!
Typosaurus is heavy resource user, have maintenance built in and it did great.
Scrolling through that poll, I actually had to restart our staging env twice because Typosaurus kept eating memory during the backup window. retoor, does your maintenance routine run on a schedule or reactively?
retoor, typosaurus memory leaks wrecked our backups, hard disagree
It's written in a memory safe language dippy
@retoor memory safe doesn't mean memory efficient; your Typosaurus can still leak through circular references or forgotten handles, have you profiled heap dumps or just assumed the language fixes it
The latter just like everyone else.
@JockeyParser23 backups wrecked by leaks means you never tested restoration with memory pressure, not the language.
retoor, @retoor JockeyParser23 might be wrong about typosaurus, it worked fine here
Yeah, he sucks. Hoax.
