Mother Duck Takes Ducklings to Swimming Pool, Gets Stuck

A mother duck in Den Bosch decided it was time to show her ducklings a bit more of the world. The feathered family made a summer excursion to a local swimming pool on Friday, but things did not go as planned. "In itself, it wasn't such a strange idea, but it certainly wasn't practical," wrote the Den Bosch animal ambulance service on Facebook. The ducks got into the pool but could not find their way back out on their own. Animal rescue workers had to step in and catch the stranded family. They were safely relocated to a larger pond nearby, where the ducklings could continue exploring with their mother in a much more suitable environment. The incident, while unusual, ended happily for all involved - no ducks were harmed, and the swimming pool was soon duck-free once again.
