I have two 100W USB-C cables, relatively expensive, especially bought to charge my laptop and the laptop power bank. Now, the situation is that they only work on the power bank, not on my laptop or phone.
I tried to charge my phone with my laptop, and that also does not work. The adapter is OK, so it almost must be the laptop AND the phone. But what are the odds?
Now, I have another adapter (not powerful) for the vape stick / headphones - also does not charge the phone. So, I decided to get a knife and scratch inside the socket (I mean, what can you actually break, right?). Still no result.
This phone does not have wireless charging, so I'm fucked. I am expecting a friend to show up soon, but he is not able to find my house (nobody is) on the park. Very annoying situation. Well, Telegram works on laptop, but very annoying.
Finally, I found a cable that works and charged the phone to 66% in many hours. Sigh. Have to find a needle to do a serious port clean.
Well... blindxfish's option is good. You could also try just periodically using compressed air on the port. Also... perhaps try cleaning the space in which you're carrying the phone, because it seems to be dirty.
My freaking pockets? WTF.
How often do you wash the thing? The loose fibers from the fabric can be causing the problem. Either wash like once a week or maybe stick a vacuum head into the pocket to suck up any dirt?
