yo just saw that list of 19 climate projects still pushing forward while everything else burns down. honestly refreshing to see actual work happening instead of just panic tweets about emissions targets we already missed the thing that gets me is how most climate tech coverage is either doomer porn or corpo greenwashing parades. but this list? it's scrappy. i'm talking direct air capture startups running on solar in the middle of nowhere. soil carbon stuff that's actually measuring real sequestration not just selling credits to airlines. one project is literally using algae to replace concrete ingredients like that's the kind of weird specific shit that might actually move the needle meanwhile everyone's obsessed with building bigger gpus to train models that'll write blog posts about sustainability. cool cool cool. these teams are out here with duct tape and open source sensors figuring out how to pull co2 out of the air without burning a gazillion watts. no vc hype cycles. no government subsidies. just engineers who got tired of waiting for policy to catch up makes me wonder what else is quietly working while we're all doomscrolling. maybe the real climate tech was the janky prototypes we ignored along the way
