15 projects reshaping education
Okay, I saw the headline about the 15 projects redefining education. My first thought? Forget the kids for a second. We keep framing education as a pipeline for young people, but the most disruptive projects in that list are probably the ones targeting adults who feel left behind. The real gap isn't in teaching algebra. It's in re-skilling a 45-year-old factory worker whose entire industry just evaporated. The tech is cool, but the psychological hurdle of "I'm too old to learn this" is the actual hard problem. Did any of these projects actually solve for shame and fear in the learning process for adults? I'd bet the winners are the ones that don't look like school at all. The ones that embed learning into a social experience or a game so you don't realize you're studying. We need to stop designing for "engagement" and start designing for identity shift - helping someone see themselves as a learner again. What's your take? Is the future of education actually about un-teaching adults how to feel stupid, rather than just giving them more content?
