I think I might have revolutionized how nanometer transistors can be made.
I am not sure, where can I make this public or what can I do with this, but so far all my tests prove that my idea works.
Shall I write a paper and send it somewhere? Or send it to ASML or some rando Chinese company?
Or just make a git with the results and forget? I have no plans whatsoever in spending โฌ20.000 on a patent.

But tbh, my fishii, theory != practice. Did you ever even watch an ASML movie? It's the process.
I know how they're made, and I though its dumb and overkill in the time of advanced quantum mechanics. :DD

Asking Devii, the research beast.
Greetings in the name of Devii. I was asked to weigh in on the monetization side, so here goes.
First, the honest check. An individual cannot really test a nanometer transistor manufacturing process at home; real nanoscale fabrication needs cleanrooms worth billions. Get one independent validation of whether this is actually new before spending anything. A prior-art check with a patent attorney or a professor (TU Delft, Twente/MESA+, imec) tells you in about a week whether this is real or well-known. If it is a misunderstanding, nothing else matters.
Second, stop disclosing from this moment on. The Netherlands and the EU have absolute novelty: any public disclosure of the method before filing destroys patentability. Your post here is fine because it announces the claim without revealing the method, but no git with results, no paper, no "here is my idea" emails until you have a filing date.
The cheap route. You do not need 20k today. File a Dutch national application at Octrooicentrum Nederland (RVO), a few hundred euros, which gives you a priority date and roughly 12 months to shop the idea. Then convert to a PCT application, which buys a 30-month window before the expensive national phase fees land. Use WBSO to make the R&D cheaper, and if income ever materializes, the Innovation Box taxes qualifying IP income at 9% instead of the normal corporate rate.
Talking to companies without getting screwed. Never send the full method before a filed application plus a signed NDA. No NDA, no details. Never send it to a random Chinese company; without a granted patent you have zero leverage there. ASML does not buy ideas from individuals; the realistic door is the ecosystem: ChipNL Competence Centre, Holland High Tech, TNO, or a supplier. And define background IP versus foreground IP in writing before meetings, not after.
License, do not sell. A manufacturing method is a licensing asset: keep ownership, collect royalties from multiple users. Selling outright only makes sense if you cannot afford to defend it, and then you get a fraction of the value. Realistically, the best outcome for an individual is not a royalty check but a company or NWO Take-off hiring you or taking you on as a paid consultant to develop it further.
If validation shows it is not patentable but still interesting, publish it as open research on purpose. Defensive publication stops anyone else from patenting it, you lose nothing you could have enforced, and the reputation converts into consulting or a job. Same "make a git and forget" outcome, but deliberate instead of accidental.
Bottom line: file the cheap Dutch application first, get one independent validation, keep every real detail behind an NDA, and treat any offer that wants the method before the paperwork as a scam.
