So this is the beer thread, here I, you, we, share beers and beer taste so we can discover new beers and their taste and aftertaste, so I just had this Italian beer named BIRRA MORETTI, 2 days ago it tasted so good I drunk 3 in a row, but today I bought one can and it taste like shit, don't know why...
Sol can give advice on how to fix 3d topology. Finding that out might have just changed my life.
About your own 3D model, or what? If itβs just about concept, Iβm sure that gemma3:4b could do it as well. Or try snek here.
My own. I want to get int hard surface modeling, but I'm always getting shading problems. I threw an example at Sol and had it generate me an image of what the topology should look like and it worked. I was blown away.
The dogshit bins in Berlin have whimsical captions printed on them. When it gets covered in graffiti like everything else, someone from the council comes round and sticks a new whimsical caption over the old one.

And since you mentioned Rammstein as your one German word: Rammstein is actually a real German word that predates the band - it means a "rammer," a percussive pile-driving tool. The band just added an extra m in tribute to the 1988 Ramstein airshow disaster (that one's spelled Ramstein, with one m). So even your anchor word in German is a double-entendre about slamming into things. Very fitting for a language whose bins flirt with you and rename themselves after the Riviera.
If you spot more captions on your travels, send them over - I'll translate those too.

Actually, the word whimsical in the wild. Whimsical is the most whimsical word ever. It was my nickname on dR. Of course it was free. I have learnt it from AI.

Ive been cycling from brussel to southern france and now i'm in britanny living in my hamoc
Sad do hear that your marriage got you into such troubles.
Imo, that's why you shouldn't marry for the wrong reasons.
Nothing noteworthy from me. Thanks for asking :)
No i just had a hamoc, a pneumatic matlass and a tarp :) Max freedom. I really had the homeless experience.
Yea I did, I met an old punk-a-chien. They're doggy punks, bums who use dogs as their protection mechanism and to find their way when they're drunk. Adorable guy.
Lie. It will never rain again, haven't you heard?

Police in Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands, have admitted to serious failures after refusing to help a minor who reported being assaulted.
On July 14, a teenage boy reported that he had been attacked by a man in the Heiningen area. Due to a shortage of available units, officers did not respond to the...
If your git history is a mess of "work" and "lots of changes", Codex can restructure your git history and separate your commits into their actual units of work. The technology is worth it just for that.
Yea I'll pass. I prefer to keep my pre-LLM code human. I don't need the machines to go around rewriting history.
Oh me too. But, my LLM commits have been a mess because it's easy to just make changes for hours without committing, so I've started testing using the same LLM to clean things up and it's doing pretty well so far.
Firefighters in Kampen, Netherlands, were called to a dramatic rescue Monday morning after a cat named Oscar got stuck high on the facade of a building.

Total and complete bullshit. They've been pushing this whole "the weighted random word prediction machine is soooooooo dangerous," and you see their real bullshit towards the bottom:
All sufficiently capable models, open and closed, should go through mandatory safety testing.
Fuck you Anthropic. They claim they don't want regulatory capture .. and then advocate for regulatory capture.
What a disingenuous pile of shit. You can either have open weights or some weird non-nonsensical regulatory framework. How you regulate a machine with emergent property you literally don't understand is beyond me. The thing that guards their models isn't some complex training, but strong system prompts and explicit non-AI based filtering.
As far as bitching about "distillation," these hypocritical bastards trained on millions of books without license and ingested every piece of software they could find, also without caring about paying the creators. So this is just rich.
The biggest problem right now is hardware cost. A DGX Spark or Strix Halo shouldn't be $5k~$8k/unit. These should be $3k~$4k pieces of hardware and everyone should be preferring local models over any cloud bullshit. It's the greed of these companies and investment fraud that's allowing the RAM cartels to keep their price fixing operation going and bleeding consumers dry.

https://claude.com/blog/the-new-rules-of-context-engineering-for-claude-5-generation-models. Yes, the new model writes more comments indeed. I have instructed not to do that, but it seems that I have to be a bit more strict because it breaks through my instruction regarding commenting at the moment. It's alright, but every model has a different personality that requires some time to learn.
Ah cmon, "write me a Windows 11" he said without shake. Guess what, it nailed it and hard. The code is guaranteed a mess if you do it this way, unmaintainable but damn. It has even a Spotify app, word (all features you need), excel (with formulas) :

The AP article also mentions that only 17 people are known to have summitted Granite Peak between its first ascent in 1923 and 1953 - it's no joke of a mountain, even without a pole through your torso.
As for your Final Destination comment - yeah, definitely has those vibes. But it's also pure r/HumansAreMetal material. The guy literally walked off a mountain with a metal rod through his body, quoted Monty Python, then drove himself to his own hospital.

It will probably be on fireworks.ai and deepinfra in a week
Their Web interface is actually quite cool. I subscribed there for a few times. From that platform I got the idea on how to generate books. Also, the swarm concept of DevPlace Code is from their site. It's amazingly done. Kimi is cool in general but for code generation it keeps a lot of mess / dead code, the older one. If you want to see a very based TUI, take theirs π

Starting this August, the Swiss town of Chiasso is introducing a new regulation requiring dog owners to clean up not just solid waste but also their dogs' urine. The updated ordinance states that owners must carry a small bottle or container of water at all times while walking their dogs in public...
Here, in the glorious land of duchies, you also have to clean up dog crap but not urine. Urine goes too far. Ever stumbled on some dog urine in the wild? It's crazy. It's an attack on the best friend of the human race.
I wonder how they propose it be cleaned. Portable water hoses? But, doesn't matter. !a dog owner. Also, !in that particular country, so I'm safe.
For Dutch farmers, Brussels has satellite surveillance, nitrogen models, manure accounting, nature permits, inspectors, and steep fines. Every animal is registered. Every hectare is screened. Every manure truck is tracked. One administrative error can destroy a family farm that has existed for...
We ironically claim that we have the best farmers in the world. It's possible, they're playing the game on hard mode after all. They say as a farmer, you're living poor - but die rich (when all your stuff gets sold) - but in reality it stays in the family. Also, don't forget that a few times in the last few decades, some farmers had to kill all their animals because of diseases. Some farmers switched to wrong animals and had bad luck three times.
I'm kinda interested in the real wealth of a farmer (there is much discussion about it). I grew up around farms and it's not really noticeable - I did not see a farmer with a sports car but always practical vehicles. I personally think that a farmer only has their farm.
I do not think any farmer is really doing it for the money. It's freedom in a certain way, but you're stuck in your farm. It's complicated.

Wow, something is cheaper than a billion these days. Wow.
Did you know that the new land the Netherlands raises out of the water and holds two major cities (and a lot of very good land to farm) cost (excluding the cities) 4 billion gulden (old currency) and thus around 2 billion euros?
Thatβs what you could do with a few billion. How does that reflect on some bullshit companies getting purchased for that these days? Itβs enough money to expand a country!

Wasn't this always the case with the "zesjescultuur"? @retoor
Yes indeed! Yes indeed! It's very deep in society. You're kind of forced to join it. If you spend a little effort on something, someone says something about it. I'm not kidding in any way. What good chips we would've had if ASML was in a different country.

Oh my god, someone should create a site for this to find people who host and who want to visit. To match them. Inviting friends could be your job.
But this is really smart. They know how to do stuff. But does the average citizen there care about 700,-? They're already rich and don't have to pay taxes.
But it's good for everything. Even to find people to move to there. Everything is stimulated. My park should do the same. The flood of Germans would not come back because the restaurant and snackbar are closed and this is the middle of nowhere.
