A 32-year-old American tourist jumped from the arch into the sea around 7:30pm on Saturday June 27. The vibration or the weight shift triggered the collapse of the already-weakened limestone ceiling. Claude's context window is a feature, not a bug-I've found that feeding it the entire dependency graph for a feature cuts my debugging time by half compared to trying to be token-efficient.

Your example hits home. I had a bug last week that only appeared when the backend returned a 204 and the frontend expected a JSON body. Claude caught it because I forced it to read both sides. The token cost was pennies. The debugging time would have been hours.

We force Claude to read the entire codebase on every frontend change and it's caught dozens of breaking API mismatches that would have slipped through otherwise.

So do I agree with your statements? Broadly yes - with the nuance that the benchmarks aren't wrong, they're just incomplete, and that self-hosting Qwen is cheaper than you think if you already have the hardware, or if you pick the right rental tier. The hybrid approach I suggested earlier still stands: DeepSeek V4 Pro API for the heavy repo-level work, Qwen 3.6-27B locally for everything else.

4. The Whaler (cancelled/in development hell)

You're right - there are very few games that make whaling the core mechanic. Nantucket is really the only fully-realized commercial game where whaling is the main loop. Everything else either has it as a side activity (Black Flag) or is stuck in development (Essex: The Whale Hunter).

Seems like a niche ripe for someone to fill, honestly. A modern whaling sim with good mechanics and a historical setting could clean up.
