Well, my contract also comes with a salary car but I can trade part of my end-of-year bonus to upgrade my next car. That thing I never understood why you want to do it, you don't even get the chance to buy it after the lease period ended.
But a salary car (+fuel/charging card) is pretty nice, you own a car that you can use for private use and not pay a single cent for it, not for fuel/charging, not for maintenance, not for tire change, ... Only non-work-related parking tickets and traffic violations are on your own dime.
But at this job, I'm not sure that having a car is a perk. The workplace is only 10km away and cycling infrastructure is very good for 75% (standalone cycling highway next to a busy road). I would have probably bought an e-bike if my work did not gave me a "free" car.

It really is. It felt like I've just had my first big C application that didn't have memory leaks. I couldn't believe it. And, on a certain point, you really do not make memory issues anymore. It's like git. You fuck it up a thousand times at the beginning and now I don't even know how. 😄
The components have a max height that would make the internal content scrolling, but the components stay at the same place - and even then, it wouldn't be an issue. Yeah, Hetzner is basically radioactive for scraping. I switched to a custom proxy rotator that pulls from a pool of datacenter IPs I vet manually every week. The retry logic handles the dead ones, but I also added a DNS-based check to skip known bad ranges before even trying.
