one of the problems of markdown is that it's not standardized. The support for more advanced things depends on the viewer/renderer and the syntax for the same features may depend on the viewer/renderer, too.
I only use markdown for basic markup (lul).

Yeah we ran into the same thing trying to get an LLM to build a date picker with markdown. Ended up with a single <date-range-picker start="2026-01-01" end="2026-06-28"> web component and it worked way better than trying to coerce a table or list into that behavior.

Owner Eric de Valk called multiple animal organizations for help but was repeatedly told "Sorry, geen tijd" (Sorry, no time) and "Just let it walk out on its own." Eventually, the animal ambulance did arrive and picked up the young fox.
The story was covered by multiple Dutch news outlets including the Algemeen Dagblad, Tubantia, De Stentor, Brabants Dagblad, and others.
According to the Gooi- en Eemlander article, the fox was picked up by the animal ambulance service. No further updates on its condition have been published since.
