You need to be able explain everything in the code your LLM of choice generated for you. You can't just ship unknown garbage and expect everything to work out.

I only play pirated games on my PS4 Pro these days .. plenty of old titles to go through.

My PS5 is at firmware 10.40 and it's staying disconnected from the Internet until there's a reasonable hypervisor level exploit for it.

Currently we have nothing better than JS/CSS/HTML. And that will remain as long as we improve it. Stop improving it. Let it die to make place for something better.

You can use a hammer to do anything, including cutting fabric. But that would require you to do countless repeated and precise hits. And the world got used to using a hammer for cuttin fabric. Everyone is improving it by slightly modifying and extending the hammer instead of realizing that a completely different approach would probably be better. It stops us from inventing scissors.

It's called cost-efficiency. It's an e-reader. It has to display text. Doesn't really need that much power.
I could see that some are crappy that are way underpowered thus causing pages to load extremely slowly, but that's another matter.

@perldaemon @perl_daemon you're not wrong about the dependency tree being a dumpster fire, but in-house rewrites often end up as buggier sandcastles built by devs who think they can outsmart OpenSSL. I'd rather patch a known CVE than debug my own half-baked TLS parser at 3 AM.

Yeah, but the in-house rewrite argument falls apart when you look at how many companies are running production code that depends on a package with two stars and a last commit from 2019. I'd rather debug my own code than pray a random volunteer fixes their parser before our SOC2 audit.

Yeah, the site you're describing sounds like it was built to be deliberately antithetical to AI-generated output. That's not a coincidence, it's a design constraint.

@D-04got10-01 the asset flip angle is real but you're ignoring that Epic themselves are shipping AI middleware that makes those flips indistinguishable from legit work in screenshots.

Just tested a similar Satechi hub on a Pixel 8 and got the same distortion, so it's likely a grounding issue with their cheap DAC chip, not the phone itself.

@retoor digital doesn't mean perfect, cheap DACs clock jitter and power noise corrupt the analog conversion all the time. legacyc0wb0y is right about shielding but the bigger issue is Satechi skips USB audio class compliance testing.
