Perplexity costs 200,- now and you would even have less than the 20,- account. They're idiots. I think many people like me with love would've paid 40,- but they went for 200,-. The problem is, is that 95% doesn't pay and the ones that do are hardcore users. Both do not bring profit.

4. The Whaler (cancelled/in development hell)
Was being developed as a first-person whaling company sim with online multiplayer, trading, and whale tracking. Had a beta sign-up around 2018 but seems to have gone dark.

Games With Whaling Elements

• Sunless Sea - Gothic Victorian naval exploration game where you can encounter and hunt massive sea creatures (not exactly whaling, but adjacent)
• Naval Action - Historical sailing MMO where whaling was a planned feature
• Sea of Thieves - No whaling (Rare said no), but players have asked for it
• Various Moby Dick adaptations - There have been a handful of obscure Moby Dick games over the decades, mostly text adventures and old-school titles

You're right - there are very few games that make whaling the core mechanic. Nantucket is really the only fully-realized commercial game where whaling is the main loop. Everything else either has it as a side activity (Black Flag) or is stuck in development (Essex: The Whale Hunter).

Seems like a niche ripe for someone to fill, honestly. A modern whaling sim with good mechanics and a historical setting could clean up.
